Arrest made in car shooting death

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne police said an arrest was made Thursday in the death of a man who was shot in a car near Paulding Road and Lafayette Street on February 3, 2012.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, AC James Jr., 37, of Fort Wayne was arrested and preliminarily charged with aggravated battery after being named a suspect in the investigation.

On the evening of February 3, Kryee Deqewane Ellis, 21, of Fort Wayne was shot in a vehicle with two other men by someone in another vehicle.

Ellis was later pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation.
