Armed robbery at downtown bar

FIORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a downtown bar early Friday morning.

Police were called to the Brass Rail in the 1100 block of Broadway shortly before 3:30 Friday morning.

Police said a man took an undisclosed amount of cash from the bar. The bar was closed at the time of the robbery. Officers on scene told NewsChannel 15 the only person inside was the bartender.

Police did not have a suspect description. They said the suspect was covered up during the robbery.

No injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department or Crime Stoppers .
