Angola woman arrested for battery of child

ANGOLA, Ind. (WANE) - 42-year-old Jody K. Dyer of rural Angola was arrested on Thursday for one count of battery to a child under 14 years of age causing injury.
The incident happened during the late evening hours of Monday, August 27. The Steuben County Sheriff's Department received information on Tuesday, August 28 from the Steuben County Division of Child Services concerning an allegation that Dyer had battered a female child under the age of 14 years old at a Jackson Township residence in western Steuben County.
An investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of Dyer. Dyer was booked into the Steuben County Jail on one count of battery to a child under 14 years of age causing injury. This is a class D felony.
Dyer is being held in the Steuben County Jail without bond.
