LAKE JAMES, Ind. (WANE) - An Angola man was arrested Friday night on several weapons and drug charges.

According to a Steuben County Sheriff's Department release, officers responded to a home in the 2000 block of Lane 105 at Lake James after a man was being threatened by another individual with a weapon.

While deputies were at the home they spotted several narcotics in plain view around the home, according to the report.

The report said officers obtained a search warrant for the residence and recovered several weapons, including a long gun and a handgun. Investigators also found an unspecified amount of marijuana and paraphernalia while serving the warrant.

Police arrested Joseph Norris, 57, Angola, on charges of intimidation, pointing a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Norris was booked into the Steuben County Jail.
