FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Traneilous "Neil" Jackson, one of the people responsible for shooting at an ambulance back in September, was sentenced to 60 years in prison Wednesday.
Jackson, 24, pleaded guilty to seven of nine counts on Jan. 28, including four attempted murder charges, one charge of battery and two charges of criminal recklessness.
Jackson claimed he was verbally disrespected by someone in the VIP section at Piere's, a nightclub on St. Joe Center Road, and as a result, got into an altercation. After that altercation, the victim needed medical attention and was put into an ambulance.
Authorities say the ambulance was hit by at least 16 bullets on September 9. A paramedic suffered arm wounds and three people in another car were also shot.
