KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department arrested a Pierceton man Friday night, saying he's connected to at least one vehicle break-in near Warsaw.

Police said Matthew Christopher Hoshal, 20, of Pierceton, was arrested Friday at 5:55 p.m. and is preliminarily charged with theft from a motor vehicle.

Several unlocked vehicles had been broken into overnight Thursday to Friday in an area east of Warsaw.

In a media release, police said they responded to a suspicious person report and found Hoshal in the Pierceton area during the day on Friday. Hoshall had several items that were similar in description to the items taken from one of the thefts near Old Road 30 and County Road 650 East.

Hoshal later confessed to at least one of the overnight thefts, police said. Detectives are still investigating to see if Hoshal is involved with any of the other thefts from vehicles that have happened over the summer.
