SPENCERVILLE, Ind. (WANE) - A 65-year-old man is facing charges after police found marijuana and paraphernalia inside of his home early Monday morning.
Indiana State Troopers went to the home of Curtis Wittwer, located at 6717 CR 68 in DeKalb County, around 12:00 a.m. to serve a federal arrest warrant for dealing marijuana.
Police said paraphernalia items were lying in plain view inside of Wittwer's home and officers could smell burnt pot.
The Indiana State Police's Anti-Crime Enforcment Team (A.C.E.) received permission to search Wittwer's home. Police found more than 60 grams of marijuana inside.
Police arrested Wittwer without incident and took him to the Allen County Jail.
According to police, the evidence was collected and submitted to the Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory for analysis and the case will be forwarded to the DeKalb County Prosecutor's Office for review.
