Kids found home alone during drug raid

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Three Fort Wayne people are behind bars on multiple drug charges, two charged also with child endangerment.

According to a police report, FWPD Vice and Narcotics team members executed a search warrant at 6816 Mimosa Lane in Fort Wayne on Wednesday evening.

Inside the home, agents found cocaine, marijuana, and narcotics paraphernalia. At the time of the search, three children were home alone; ages 11, 3, and an infant.

According to the report, police arrested Christopher D. Hatch, 32, Fort Wayne on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, neglect of a dependent child, child endangerment, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Jennifer D. Ley, 31, Fort Wayne, was also arrested on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, neglect of a dependent child, child endangerment, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

The third person arrested was Renee M. Potter, 39, 7134 Blackhawk Dr., on charges of possession of cocaine and aiding in dealing cocaine.
