29 arrested in Indiana on felony drug charges

PERU, Ind. (WANE) 29 people were arrested on felony drug charges on Monday morning as a result of a multi-agency narcotics investigation.

Officers executed arrest and search warrants early i the morning on Monday in Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Howard, Miami, and Tippecanoe Counties.

Officers also seized approximately 13 pounds of suspected marijuana, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, firearms, a marijuana grow operation with about 200 plants, about 37 grams of suspected cocaine, $34,000 in United States currency, 10 vehicles, and two jet skis.

The investigation that led to the 29 arrests in Indiana was started by the the Logansport Police Department, the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, and the Indiana State Police but  multiple agencies became involved. Agencies investigated suspects in six Indiana counties as well as two counties in Illinois, in which there were three more arrests.

The following is a list of those arrested and the charges they face as released by the Indiana State Police:

  • George Z. Setser,  37, of Logansport, Ind., state  charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and conspiracy to deal marijuana
  • Dennis P. Wildrick, 37,  of Logansport, Ind., state charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and conspiracy to deal marijuana
  • Charles Flaherty, 50, of Lafayette, Ind., state charge for conspiracy to deal marijuana,
  • Matt T. Burkett, 38, of Logansport, Ind., state charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and conspiracy to deal marijuana 
  • Jay D. Howell, 53, of Logansport, Ind., state charges for conspiracy to deal marijuana 
  • Jimmy Marshall, 31, of Donovan, Ill., Indiana, state charges for conspiracy to deal marijuana
  • Brandon D. Kinser, 33, of Frankfort, Ind., state charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Joe Gibbs, 33, of Kokomo, Ind., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana  
  • Michael Curtis, 52, of Logansport, Ind., state charges for conspiracy to deal marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance
  • Laef Wade, 51, of Logansport, Ind., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana 
  • Jose Patlan, 37, of Logansport, Ind.,  federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana  
  • Dale Marshall, 53, of Logansport, Ind.,  federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Christopher Calisto, 40, of Twelve Mile, Ind. , federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Eric Arnold, 39, of Macy, Ind., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana 
  • Robert Duff  50, of Delphi, Ind., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana 
  • Guillermo Patlan, 38, of Milford, Ill., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Jose Nambo, 31, of St. Anne, Ill., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana 
  • Nora Guardiola, 34,  of Sheldon, Ill.,  federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Jeremy Dyer, 30,  of Iroquois, Ill.,  federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana 
  • Brock Crowe, 36,  of Delphi, Ind., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Lynn Little, 42, of West Lafayette, Ind.,  federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Denise Curtis, 42, of Logansport, Ind., state charges for maintaining a common nuisance and conspiracy to deal marijuana
  • Kenneth Fox, 44, of Logansport, Ind., state charges for cultivating marijuana and felony possession of marijuana
  • Andres Garcia, 55, of Hoopeston, Ill., federal charges for conspiracy to deal cocaine and marijuana
  • Patrick Fox, 46, of Lake Cicott, Ind., state charges for dealing and cultivating marijuana cultivating   

 

Three individuals were also arrested to face state felony charges in Illinois:

  • Ricardo Guardia, 19, Illinois state charge for possession of cannabis.
  • Jaremy Simms, 23, Illinois state charges for possession of a controlled  substance with the intent to deliver within a 1000 feet of a park, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and armed violence.
  • Wendy Stone, 32, Illinois state charge for possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

The following agencies were Involved in the investigation that led to a total of 32 arrests: Indiana State Police, the Logansport Police Department, the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana.
