10 arrested, baby rescued in Attica meth lab raid

ATTICA, Ind. (WLFI) - Ten people are in jail and one baby is in the care of child services after Attica police raided a meth lab inside a home early Friday morning.

At roughly 3 a.m., the Attica Police Department (along with the Fountain County Sheriff’s Office, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Williamsport Police Department) executed a search warrant at 407 N. Fifth St. in Attica.

During the search, an active meth lab was found in the home. Investigators also located multiple drug paraphernalia items along with amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana.

As a result of the search, 10 people were arrested on various misdemeanor and felony charges.

Here are the names and charges of those arrested:

• 45-year-old Richard A. Pettery, Jr., from Attica was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of paraphernalia.
• 43-year-old Peggy S. Wilkinson of Attica was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of paraphernalia.
• 21-year-old Randy L. Wilkinson of Attica was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a park, dealing meth within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of paraphernalia.
• 29-year-old Jason L. Ramsey of Attica was charged with possession of meth within 1,000 feet of a park, visiting a common nuisance and possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone).
• 36-year-old Jayson D.B. Edmond of Attica was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of marijuana.
• 45-year-old Judy A. Hoffman of Attica was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
• 31-year-old Patricia A. Woods of Attica was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
• 27-year-old Corey A. Dark of Williamsport was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
• 18-year-old Tyleigh E. French of Attica was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
• 19-year-old Shannon W. Wise of Waynetown was charged with operating a vehicle while never licensed.

An infant was also found in the home and was placed in custody of the Fountain County Department of Child Safety.

The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team arrived and collected the meth lab.
