FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Thirty-nine-year-old Mark Perry, a known drug dealer, was charged Friday for six counts of dealing cocaine after police arrested him on the lot of a Shell gas station at Fairfield Avenue and Paulding Road.

Fort Wayne Police said around 12:30 p.m. Friday, officers with the department's Vice and Narcotics Division arrested Perry, of 6316 Kent Rd., in Fort Wayne. At the time, Perry had about five-and-a-half ounces of cocaine in his possession.

Detectives said they bought cocaine from Perry several times in the past month. Police then searched his home at 6316 Kent Road and found another ounce of the drug, a small amount of cash, scales and packaging materials.

At the time of the search, Perry's wife was home and said she had no idea of what her husband had been involved in. She said she knew he was on disability from the government and thought that was where he was getting all of his money.
