FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Investigators think cars chasing one another at high rates of speed near Anthony Boulevard may have contributed to the crash they suffered, which put one unconscious woman in the hospital early Saturday morning.
Fort Wayne Police said around 4:25 a.m. Saturday, a Cadillac and a Ford SUV were involved in a critical injury accident just east of the Lewis Street and Anthony Boulevard intersection. That is where officers found an unconscious woman, believed to be a passenger, lying on the ground next to the Cadillac. Police say the 38-year-old Capreice Brown woman was pulled from the car, not ejected. She was taken to a local hospital where as of Sunday afternoon, remains in serious condition.
Police say no other injuries were reported for any of the other passengers or drivers of the two vehicles involved.
This accident remains under investigation by the by the Fort Wayne Allen County Crash Team.
