FORT WAYNE, Ind.(WANE) More than 800 job seekers attended the job fair in Fort Wayne Wednesday.

Indiana congressman Marlin Stutzman and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) are co-sponsoring a Job Fair, Wednesday, June 13, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Walb Student Union International Ballroom.

About 60 employers were at the fair. The fair was intended to benefit job-seekers as well as potential employers.

The Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce and IPFW's Office of Career Services sponsored an interview session before the start of the fair at 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Attendees can polish their interview skills by learning how to:

  • Skillfully develop conversations to highlight your experience and qualifications
  • Impress employers by making yourself memorable
  • Follow up with contacts after the job fair and build your professional network

Both the Job Fair and training session are free and open to the public. For more information, job seekers may contact Daniel Harman in Rep. Stutzman’s Fort Wayne office at 260-424-3941 or Daniel.harman@mail.house.gov.
