New Save-A-Lot to open Wednesday in Wabash

WABASH, Ind. (WANE) A Save-A-Lot discount grocery store will open for business in Wabash, Indiana on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.

The new store is located at 950 Cass Street and a ribbon cutting is scheduled for 8 am.

“Save-A-Lot is committed to offering fresh produce, dairy and USDA-inspected meat, as well as other essential grocery and household items to shoppers at an affordable price – typically up to 40 percent less than traditional grocery stores,” says Jeff Sturges, president of T.W.F. Holdings, Inc. “We are very excited to be coming to Wabash and look forward to welcoming shoppers to our store.”

The Wabash Save-A-Lot store will be run by a team of people including Sturges, Tim Holt, operations manager, Tony Nern, perishable director, Wendy Dawson, business administrator, Jason Pence, store manager,Samantha Carpenter, first assistant, Joshua Coon, second assistant and BillyFlanagan, meat manager.

Each Save-A-Lot store carries an assortment of 1,200 to 1,500 of the most popular, in-demand everyday grocery essentials, including fruits and vegetables, USDA-inspected meats, dairy products, bakery goods, shelf-ready and frozen foods, household goods, pet food, baby, and health and beauty care products. Save-A-Lot stores average about 15,000 square feet in size.
