Marshalls at Southgate Plaza closing in 2013

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The company that owns the discount retailer located on the city's southeast side will keep the store open through the holidays.
The TJX Companies, Inc. also operates a Marshalls at the Chapel Ridge Plaza.
"We are always assessing and reviewing our real estate strategies and our decision to close the Ft. Wayne store reflects that thinking. We are grateful for the patronage of our Marshalls customers and believe they will continue to find great values at our nearby stores," said Doreen Thompson, Vice President of Corporate Communications.
The 30 to 40 employees may be eligible for positions at other Marshalls stores or they will be offered severance pay.
