KOKOMO, Ind. (WANE) The city of Kokomo will soon be the home of a highly-specialized machine shop that is expected to hire about 17 new employees over the next five years.
The 6,000 square foot facility will be located in the Lincoln Business Park. The company plans to invest more than $700,000 in Kokomo. The investments will include land purchase, construction and equipment.
“We are so glad to see this project come to fruition,” said Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight. “Mr. Carney and Mr. Echelbarger have shown that they are committed to this community, through this large investment, and through their plans to increase their workforce, now and for years to come.”
The City of Kokomo’s Technology and Industry Revolving Loan Fund, along with private financing from Community First Bank of Indiana, is assisting Carney-Echelbarger Machining LLC as they work to relocate to the new facility.
The Technology and Industry Revolving Loan Fund Program provides gap financing at below-prime interest rates to Howard County businesses seeking to expand.
