HAMILTON, Ind. (WANE) A business in Hamilton is expanding and has added twenty new jobs. Sometime next year, the company expects to add ten more jobs.

According to our partners at KPC NewsAZZ Galvanizing invested $6 million dollars into an expansion that included a 58-foot-long galvanizing kettle and a 19,000-square-foot building expansion.

The plant specializes in hot-dip galvanizing; dipping steel into kettles of molten zinc, to prevent corrosion and rust.

Jim Getz, AZZ sales manager, told KPC the he expects the plant’s production to double in order to meet an increasing demand for galvanized products.

"All steel-related markets are discovering that hot-dip galvanizing can add 25-plus years of maintenance-free service life,” Getz said. “This expansion allows us to better serve those markets and capitalize on industry growth.”

AZZ has 34 locations world-wide. The new facilities in Hamilton are expected to be up and running in October and be fully operational by January.
