FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Plan Commission approved two major projects Monday evening.
The commission unanimously approved a proposal to develop a patch of land off of Lima Road near Progress Road. On that patch of land, Costco plans to build a 150,000 square foot store with a gas station.
The Kelly Automotive Group would then use the rest of the land to build a new dealership there. Construction is expected to begin as early as this fall.
The commission also unanimously approved a plan which will turn the old Kroger store at the corner of State Boulevard and Spy Run Avenue into a storage facility.
The facility would be climate-controlled and would eventually include a gas station and a coffee shop.
