FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Police said a man who robbed a Blockbuster Video store at
gunpoint Sunday got away with the cash deposit while riding a
bicycle.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, around 9:30
a.m. Sunday morning, an employee at the Blockbuster Video store at
100 East Pettit Avenue told police they noticed a man sitting on
bench outside the store while going inside to collect a deposit to
take the bank, but didn't think anything of it at the time.
The employee said when they went back outside, the man that
was once sitting on the bench, pulled a black semi-automatic
handgun and demanded the money.
Police described the suspect as a black man in his late teens or
early 20s wearing a black and orange hoodie.
After taking the money, police said the man got away riding a
bicycle west on Lenox Avenue.
