FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The president of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance has resigned.
Andi Udris stepped down Friday with his resignation taking effect immediately, Udris's wife said when reached Friday night.
She would not say why he stepped down or what he would be doing next professionally, saying she would prefer her husband answer those questions. Andi Udris was not available to speak Friday.
Udris served as president for just under three years. He was selected for the position in May 2009.
The Alliance was formed more than a decade ago to serve as the main economic development point of contact for companies hoping to expand or remain in Fort Wayne and Allen County, as well as for companies considering moving to the area.
It is unclear when or exactly how the Alliance Board of Director s will go about finding Udris's successor.
