FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County Coroner's Office said Saturday that the man shot in the 600-block of East Lewis Street Friday night has died.

He's identified as Ryan Dwayne Turner, 45, of Fort Wayne. He died of gunshot wounds in a hospital Friday night. His death has been ruled a homicide, making it the first of 2013 in Fort Wayne and Allen County.

Officers were called to the Sunoco gas station at the corner of East Lewis and South Hanna Streets a little after 9:00 p.m. Friday after a report of an apparent shooting.

Police said Turner entered the gas station and asked the clerk for help, saying he had been shot.

Officials said Turner went to a hospital in serious condition and was then downgraded to critical condition. He died in the hospital Friday night.

No arrests have been made and there are no suspects at this time, according to police. The shooting remains under investigation.
