FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The ball drops, and with that the first decade of the 2000's is officially in the books.
The Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana kicked off the new year with a bang at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne.
"It's nice to come together with people who are like minded, and socialize in a setting that's different than what we normally have," said one guy at the party.
YLNI held it's 5th annual masquerade party. A party that brings out the crowd and keeps people from watching the ball drop from their couch.
"It's a really fun safe place for people to come out, they're not at the bars, but they're having a good time bringing in the new year," said a lady at the party.
Of course some have a new year's resolution.
"I enjoy eating healthy so I guess I'll continue doing that," said another lady.
As we begin a new decade, people have some pretty good memories of 2009.
"My favorite moment was definitely opening day at Parkview Field I love the TinCaps, we're a big sports fan family," said a lady at the party.
"We'll I got married and had kids I guess I better say that right," said one guy at the party.
Certainly, everyone has high hopes for 2010.
