FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to another house fire Saturday afternoon in the 6100 block of Hunter Wood Drive.

According to dispatch, crews got the call at 12:44 p.m. and were on the scene within seven minutes.

Flames were shooting out of the two-story home in the Jonathan Oaks neighborhood when firefighters pulled up. FWFD had crews working inside of the home and set-up ladders outside. More than 20 firefighters worked to get the blaze under control.

It took them about 25 minutes to stop the fire and 45 minutes to bring it completely under control.

The fire had come through the garage into the second story of the home.

Three people and a pet were in the home at the time but they made it out safely before crews arrived.

No firefighters were harmed battling the fire.

The home sustained extensive fire and water damage.

The cause is still being investigated.
