AUBURN, Ind. (WANE) - Many visitors and vendors at the annual Labor Day Auction in Auburn tell NewsChannel 15, they are very impressed by the recent renovations at the park.

R-M Auctions, the company which took over the former Kruse Auction Park in July, spent about $1 million in improvements in just 60 days. That includes paving over the gravel lots and applying a fresh coat of paint on several buildings.

Vendors and visitors who have been attending the auction for years have noticed a difference.

Jim Dangman has been coming to the auction since he was a boy. He says R-M made a great first impression.

"The new paint, the driveway out front. I just think it's definitely probably got 75% better this year than it was last year," said Dangman.

If it looks good now, visitors say they can't wait to see what the auctions will look like in the next few years, hoping R-M will top the best Kruse auction.

The Labor Day Auction runs through Sunday. Ticket prices are cheaper this year: $10 for a day pass, children 12 and under get in free.
