FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - To help people in Allen County stay up to date on the latest information about the H1N1 flu, the county will use Twitter to send out updates.
"allencountyinfo" will send information from local and state officials as well as "retweet" information from the Indiana Department of Health and the Indiana Homeland Security Department.
"This is exactly the kind of situation we envisioned using Twitter for," Allen County's Public Information Director Mike Green said.
The county currently has 200 followers. To start getting messages, go to www.twitter.com and make an accounty. Then search allencountyinfo to get updates.
