INDIANA (AP)-- - The supermarket chain Meijer is among food distributors that are recalling nonfat dry milk, cocoa and other products linked to possible salmonella contamination at a Minnesota company.

Meijer announced Thursday that it's recalling one type of its Meijer Brand Instant Nonfat Dry Milk. The product was sold in Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky.

The Food and Drug Administration has said that Minnesota-based Plainview Milk Products Cooperative was recalling instant nonfat dried milk and other products because they might be contaminated with salmonella.

Salmonella can cause serious infections in certain people. An FDA spokeswoman says the agency is unaware of any illnesses linked to the milk products.
