FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Brentwood Elementary dedicated a new 1/4 mile fitness trail on Thursday morning.

The trail is around the perimeter of the school's playground and grassy areas.

Parkview Hospital helped Brentwood Elementary map the trail out two years ago. The school then raised more than $20,000 to pave the trail.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday night, school leaders will thank all of the contributors who helped make the trail possible. There will be carnival games and pizza at the event along with the opportunity to walk or jog on the new fitness trail.
