Whether you put your dog or a cat in a sweater, tutu, or hat, make sure your pet is dressed safely.
Your pet's eyes and ears should be free while they are dressed up. Litter Genie also has the following suggestions for pet-owners who want to participate in 'Dress Up Your Pet Day.'
- Practice Safe Dressing – Keep your pet’s safety in mind while dressing them up. Make sure their ears and eyes are free when their dressed up. Don’t dress them in unseasonable outfits and take them outside, pets with shorter fur or hairless pets will get too cold or get frostbite on their little paws.
- Know Your Options – You don’t need to spend a fortune to dress up your pet. There are lots of wallet and pet-friendly options in big box stores like Target, pet stores like PetSmart and even American Apparel.
- Know Your Pet – If your furry family member just won’t have it with being dressed up, you can still celebrate by submitting a photo of them to Litter Genie’s Cat Snaps page on http://littergenie.cheezburger.com/ . There, you can upload your pet’s photo, add in your favorite clothes and accessories virtually, and share a picture of your newly decked-out pet on your Facebook page for all of your friends to enjoy!
