KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WANE) - Colwell Industries in Kendallville was featured on national television Thursday night.
The color sampling company had a film crew from Science Channel's "How It's Made" show film the company's process for making their paint chip cards.
The product is something you see at every paint shop and home improvement store. The cards produced by Colwell include samples of a variety of colors for consumers to pick out a color they want.
The Science Channel episode containing the company first aired Thursday evening in the premier episode of season 10. It will re-air at 4 a.m. Saturday and 9:30 p.m. Apr. 26.
According to the company's website , the company was started in 1893 as a printing company. The company began producing color cards in the 1950's and exited commercial printing.
The website says they now make color merchandising for a variety of products, including paint, automotive, cosmetics, window treatments, paper and more.
The company operates a plant in Kendallville and Minneapolis, Minnesota. It also has offices in Canada, Sweden, and Australia.
