It's the third year for this festival that brings attention to Fort Wayne's three rivers. This year IPFW RiverFest offers even more fun things for the whole family to enjoy. The one day event takes place June 23.
The highlight may just be the Beach Party which will include a sand play area, kiddie paddleboats, a corn hole tournament, water hamster balls, a bungee jump and beach volleyball all located right next to the St. Joseph River.
As always, admission and parking are free to the event located on the IPFW campus.
Another new addition to RiverFest 2012 will be the River Sculpture by Sayaka Ganz.
There are also some great attractions you've enjoyed in past years like MusicFest, ArtFest, FoodFest, and FamilyFest. The evening comes to a close with lanterns, luminaries and cauldrons of fire that transform the St. Joe River into a spectacle of fire during FireFest. As darkness falls, the luminaries and cauldrons begin burning at 10 p.m. At 10:30 p.m., all eyes turn skyward as gigantic fireworks displays paint the sky in colored light.
