Fort Wayne Philharmonic finale is Saturday

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic's 2010-2011 season concludes Saturday evening with "Just a Dream....."

The Philharmonic describes it like this... Enter a world of fairy dreams, opium-infused visions, and leather- clad bassoonists in this theatrical conclusion to the 2010/11 season. Mendelssohn’s overture to one of Shakespeare’s more popular comedic works starts the mood light-hearted. In stark contrast, the concert hall will be invaded by musical motorbikes in Daugherty’s hellish and angelic work written for four bassoons and orchestra. In the final piece, Berlioz takes us through the mind of an artist under opium influence as he mourns over hopeless love.

Be sure to watch Terra Brantley's interview with Andrew Constantine of the Philharmonic. For more information, click here.
