FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The first annual Oak Hill Children's Horse Therapy Farm 5K walk and run will be held on Saturday, October 27 at the IPFW Science Mall from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Oak Hill Children’s Horse Therapy Farm is a non-profit organization that provides certified riding instruction to children who are facing personal challenges physically and/or mentally.
The horses at Oak Hill Children's Horse Therapy Farm are trained to adhere to any situation, including seizures, fears, and certain behaviors.
The money raised from the race will go towards maintaining horse care and purchasing saddles to accommodate to the children's physical limitations, along with keeping the hour-long therapeutic sessions horse sessions at a minimal cost.
Same day registration for the race is open to the public from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
