FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Mother's Day has arrived and what a better gift than cooking mom breakfast, lunch, dinner or even some dessert.
Mark Carboni, a local Fort Wayne chef joined Drew and Nicholas on First News Sunday to share his recipe titled Majic Sandwich.
Ingredients for the sandwich are:
2 pieces of sandwich bread
1 egg
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 marshmallow
Nutella
In Carboni's cookbook titled Cookin' with Carbo , he says get a flat-lipped bowl, break an egg and add the tablespoon of cinnamon. Whip it up, this is the batter for your French toast portion of the snack.
With the two slices of bread, spread a nice portion of Nutella.
Slice the marshmallow into segments and place it on the Nutella, then close the sandwich.
Drudge the sandwich through the French toast batter on both sides.
On a heated griddle, place the sandwich until it turns golden brown on each side.
Place the sandwich on the plate once it's done. Cut the sandwich in half then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on it.
