FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - One of the organizations that is responding to help families of children from the recent apartment fire is the Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) Clothing Bank.  Many children escaped with just pajamas, and need to replace school uniforms, other clothing and coats.  Many items have gone out to children already, but there is still a need for new underwear, new socks and personal hygiene items.  Financial donations will also be accepted.

If you wish to donate items for the Clothing Bank you may drop off items at two locations.

  • The Grile Administration Center, 1200 South Calhoun Street, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.
  • Memorial Baptist Church, 2900 North Anthony Blvd.  Drop off will need to be scheduled with the FWCS Clothing Bank Coordinator.  Please call 705-1592 to schedule a drop off time.

The Clothing Bank is available for all FWCS students, pre-school to high school.
