DONALDSONVILLE, La. (AP) — The City Council has awarded a $2.03 million contract for road improvements to a company based in Gonzales, La.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/ZKnt6h ) the contract went to the low-bidder, R.J. Daigle and Sons.
Glenn Shaheen of GSA Consulting Engineers, the city's engineering consultants, said the bid came in below the estimate of $2.1 million.
The project includes road overlays and widening throughout Donaldsonville.
