Play of the Week

This week's Highlight Zone "Play of the Week" comes from the boys sectional semi-final meeting between Concord and Warsaw. The Tigers escaped with a 41-39 win in triple overtime.

Trailing 39-38 with just four seconds remaining the Tigers Jordan Stookey hoists a prayer from near half court and cans the game winner as time expires.

Week Six - Leo - Zach Ferran nails a 24-yard field goal in overtime to beat Heritage and keep Leo undefeated.

Week Seven - West Noble - Erik Mawhorter scores a 15-yard touchdown en route to a 334 yard effort.

Week Eight - Garrett - Kyle Lanning with a key interception return for a touchdown in a win over Leo.

Week Nine - Heritage - The Patriots execute a fake field goal to perfection, leading to an early touchdown.

Week Ten - Churubusco - The Eagles Travis Glick snares a fumble and takes it in for a touchdown.

Week Eleven - Carroll - The Chargers Bayden Lee nails a 35-yard game-winning field goal.

Week Twelve - Snider - The Panthers Je'norie Smith punches in a short touchdown and subsequent game-winning two-point conversion in overtime.

Week Thirteen - Snider - Brandon Phelps fires a 53-yard touchdown pass to Addison Dellinger.

Week Fourteen - Bishop Luers - Jaylon Smith runs in his third touchdown of the state championship game.

Week Fifteen - Bishop Luers - James Blackmon Jr. throws down a monstrous alley-oop in a win over South Side.

Week Sixteen - Concordia - D.J. McCall sends home a big one-handed slam in a win over Bishop Luers.

Week Seventeen - A pair of jams involving New Haven swingman V.J. Beachem.  He sends in a one-handed alley-oop, and follows it up with another tremendous flush off the dribble in a losing effort.

Week Eighteen - Homestead's Nick Gamble had a game-high 17 points, as he comes up with a steal and a lay-up at the other end.  The Spartans would need every point, as they beat DeKalb 51-50.

Week Nineteen - Northrop - Bruins senior Bryson Scott sends home a one-handed jam in a win over Snider.

Week Twenty - Homestead - Nick Gamble connects on a game-winning three-pointer to sink Columbia City.

Week Twenty-One - Heritage - Nate Scheumann throws down a buzzer-beating alley-oop off a pass from teammate Cole Gerardot.

Week Twenty-Two - Snider - Devlyn Williams burries a half-court shot off the glass to beat the first quarter buzzer.

Week Twenty-Three - North Side - Trevion Cruse drains a buzzer-beating three-pointer at the end of the first quarter.

Week Twenty-Four - Wabash - Kyleigh Hampton connects on a three-pointer as time expires in the first half.

Week Twenty-Five - Columbia City - Daniel Woll steals a pass and then throws down a monster two-handed slam.

Week Twenty-Six - Norwell - The Knights Josh VanMeter cans a three-pointer as time expires to end the first quarter.
