Elizabeth Fields joined the NewsChannel 15 team in June of 2010 as the station’s second videojournalist. She comes to Fort Wayne from the Quad Cities where she was no stranger to “one-man-banding”. In fact, during her two year’s at WHBF she often filled the roles of producer, anchor, and editor, too. In addition to covering the major Mid-West floods in 2008, Elizabeth was chosen to cover the very first Honor Flight of the Quad Cities and fly with nearly 100 WWII veterans to Washington D.C. Telling stories like these has been her love for a long time.

Elizabeth grew up in Belleville , Illinois just 20 miles from St. Louis and likes to get back there whenever she can to visit her family and friends. She went south for college and graduated from Murray State University in Western Kentucky with a degree in Journalism. "I can't say enough good things about the faculty and staff at Murray State . My experience there definitely prepared me for what I do everyday, “says Fields.

She may be a new Hoosier resident, but Elizabeth ’s no stranger to Fort Wayne . Her college sweetheart, Justin, has called the “ Summit City ” home for years and she has been visiting him here up until they got married earlier this year.

Now that she has both of her loves in the same place, she is excited to really explore Fort Wayne and meet the people that call this area home. In her free time, you’ll probably find Elizabeth enjoying the outdoors with her husband or hanging out with family and friends. Elizabeth loves to meet new people and hear their stories. If you have a story for her, you can e-mail her at elizabeth.fields@wane.com.
